This is the #1 question you should ask yourself in 2022

Many of us have had a difficult year. Many emotions were likely stirred up by the multitude of events.
The year saw a lot of socio-cultural, political and economic events. It forced us to question our beliefs and values and how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Noting these events can cause a feeling of helplessness, hopelessness and loss of control. We can all agree that this year has been particularly difficult. Every day, we are surrounded by adversity that challenges our ability manage our emotions, act thoughtfully, and be mindful. We want to live mindfully and consciously and create a life we are proud of, despite the challenges around us.
As distracted and triggered people are, it is important to align our behavior with core values. There are choices that allow us to choose the direction we want, even if it means living in the chaos.
You might ask yourself this question in 2022: ” Will this action strengthen my confidence?”. This will allow you to focus on being your best self.
Ask This Question and You’ll
- You must take immediate action to increase your confidence. It won’t happen by itself. It’s not possible to just declare all we want without making an effort to prove ourselves to be all that we are. You have the evidence to support your confidence, so it can withstand any criticism or unfavorable comments.
- Be aware that confidence is linked to taking action based upon your core values. Your core values are the best way to boost your confidence. It might be possible to evaluate the actions you are about to take as important and meaningful to you, and to identify why you feel compelled to act in this way.
- Take a break between thinking and doing to ensure that you are acting with conscious awareness. We often act from an unconscious mode and are on autopilot. It is a good idea to stop asking this question and to take a moment to reflect on your thoughts and to think about the best way to respond.
- You can always re-align yourself. Your past, your experiences and the stories you tell about yourself can often influence your initial thoughts and feelings. Your core values should guide your actions, not your emotions and thoughts. It’s normal to be reactive and emotional at first. This is due to all the experiences you have had and all the messages you have received. It is possible to see that you can make choices and act in a meaningful manner.
- Be more open and willing to accept your imperfections and work towards change We have the ability to see our vulnerability and fragility as a result of the constant need to be in touch with ourselves. We see how easily our irrational, unwelcome thoughts and feelings lead us. This allows us to be more comfortable and aware of where we are leading. Our confidence is often tested. Sometimes we are faced with situations in which we must make quick decisions about whether or no we will positively contribute to our confidence.
- Be aware that confidence is not a linear process and must be nurtured. It is impossible to learn the things we need to share or do to increase our confidence. Because our society values wealth, intellect, fame, and progress, it is not taught in schools or at home. It is not our goal to teach emotions, self-growth and social-emotional skills. We also don’t want to talk about interpersonal relationships. It is essential to nurture and foster confidence so that it can be incorporated into our daily lives.
We have the power to choose how we want to start a new year. We have the power to decide how to proceed, regardless of what is happening around us. Although we don’t have much control over the world around us, we can add to the suffering by not being fully aware of our actions and relying on our habits to guide us.
You can empower yourself to remain grounded and aware regardless of what. Your confidence will grow in the future.
